La Plaza del Carbón es uno de los espacios urbanos más interesantes de la ciudad. Su carácter de encrucijada lo hace un lugar muy transitado, y los chaflanes curvos de sus edificios originan un juego de cornisas muy dinámico. Me gusta mucho la silueta que se recorta de esa forma contra el cielo, como bien saben aquellos amigos que han visitado Málaga cuaderno en mano.
Con ocasión de la reciente visita de Omar Jaramillo, de la que hablé recientemente, tuvimos la oportunidad de dibujar juntos allí.
Por su configuración, la plaza es un lugar ideal para contemplar cómo la incidencia de la luz sobre las fachadas va evolucionando a lo largo del día, enfatizando las oquedades de la arquitectura y de la propia trama urbana.
