Llegada esta época del año, las carreteras de Europa se llenan de familias marroquíes que vuelven a casa en coche para pasar las vacaciones de verano. Todas ellas acaban confluyendo en las carreteras de las provincia de Málaga, la mayoría con destino a Algeciras, para cruzar el Estrecho de Gibraltar en ferry por el camino más corto. Pero también embarcan en Málaga, Almería o Tarifa.
Pude ver cómo este lugar del Puerto que normalmente languidece en esta ocasión rebosaba actividad. Las familias descansaban junto a sus coches o dentro de ellos, aguardando el turno para subir al barco rumbo a casa.
When this time of year comes, the roads of Europe are full of Moroccan families returning home by car for summer holidays. They all end up converging on the roads in the province of Malaga, most bound for Algeciras to cross the Strait of Gibraltar by ferry by the shortest route. But they also engage in Malaga, Almeria and Tarifa.
I watched this otherwise languishing corner of the port, overflowing with activity this time. Families rested beside their cars or inside them, waiting their turn to board the ship bound for home.
