Cuando un amigo visita tu ciudad por vez primera, todos tenemos un recorrido en mente preparado con aquellos lugares que juzgamos más representativos o interesantes. De forma invariable, enhebramos en la ruta piedras venerables, espacios transitados y algún lugar desde el que disfrutar de un panorama de la urbe. De modo estratégico se distribuyen también en el trayecto garitos en los que disfrutar del vino de la tierra y las especialidades del lugar, midiendo los tiempos y espacios de las paradas.
En mi caso también incluyo árboles. Es una de mis filias, pero es que hay que reconocer que en Málaga los hay muy memorables. Cuando hago de cicerone, y según el tiempo disponible, procuro hacer un alto ante un inverosímil ejemplar de barrilito situado frente a la entrada al recinto portuario. Es una baza segura que nunca defrauda al visitante, que contemplará con sorpresa su tronco regordete, hinchado por la acumulación de agua en época de sequía; sus ramas retorcidas y recubiertas de espinas, su color reptiliano...
When a
friend visits
your city for the first time, we all have a route in mind that includes all those places we deem most representative or interesting.
